CompressIMG makes image files smaller without making them look worse. We want anyone — bloggers, shop owners, developers, students — to shrink a photo in a few seconds, for free, without creating an account or handing their files to a stranger.
CompressIMG was built by Artur Meinzer, an independent developer. The idea came from a boring, everyday problem: image files that were too big to email, too heavy for a website, or rejected by an upload form for being over the size limit.
The "free" compressors he found mostly wanted something back. An account. An email address. A row of ads. Sometimes the images sat on a server with no clear promise they'd ever be deleted. He wanted the opposite — a tool that takes your image, makes it smaller, hands it back, and forgets it instantly.
So he built CompressIMG. You drop an image in, choose how much to compress, and download the result. The file is processed in memory and deleted right after. No account, no queue, no catch.
CompressIMG is built and run by Artur Meinzer, a solo developer who makes a small family of focused image tools. It's not a faceless startup — it's one person who cares about fast, honest software.
