At CompressIMG, your privacy is a top priority. We believe you should have full control over your data and your images. This policy explains what data we (don’t) collect, how your files are handled, and your rights as a user.

1. What Information Do We Collect?

We do not collect or store personal information ourselves — but the ads we show rely on third-party cookies, which we explain below.

  • No account required: You do not need to sign up or log in.
  • No personal data collected by us: We do not request, process, or store your name, email, or other personal details.
  • No IP logging by us: We do not log or store your IP address. Third-party services such as Google, which serves ads on this site, may receive your IP address as part of normal web requests — see Section 3.
  • Privacy-friendly analytics: We use Plausible Analytics, a cookieless tool that does not track individuals. We do not use Google Analytics.
  • Advertising cookies: We display ads through Google AdSense, which uses cookies. See Section 3 for details and how to opt out.

2. How Are Your Images Processed?

  • Images are processed instantly: All image compression and conversion happens on our servers in real time.
  • No image storage: Your uploaded images are never saved to disk and are deleted automatically from memory after processing.
  • No access or sharing: We never access, review, or share your images with any third parties.

3. Do We Use Cookies or Trackers?

CompressIMG uses:

  • A language cookie: to remember your language preference for your next visit.
  • Local storage: to save your compression settings (such as quality, format, and preferences) only in your own browser.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless service. It sets no cookies, collects no personal data, and does not track you across websites.

Advertising cookies

We show ads through Google AdSense to keep CompressIMG free. As a result:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other sites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — enables Google and its partners to serve ads to you based on those visits.
  • You can opt out of personalized advertising in your Google Ads Settings.
  • You can also opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized ads at www.aboutads.info/choices.
  • If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before showing personalized ads, in line with applicable data-protection laws.

Aside from these advertising and analytics services, we do not use cookies or local storage to track you. No personal or identifying information is stored in our own cookies or local storage.

4. Do We Share Data with Third Parties?

We never sell your data, and we never share your uploaded images with anyone — they are processed and then deleted. To keep CompressIMG free, we do use two third-party services that process limited technical data, as described in Section 3:

  • Google AdSense — to display ads. Google may use cookies and receive standard request data (such as your IP address) to serve and measure ads. See Google's Privacy & Terms.
  • Plausible Analytics — a cookieless service that measures aggregate, anonymous traffic.

5. Security

We take reasonable measures to ensure the security of our servers and prevent unauthorized access. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. If you are concerned about confidentiality, avoid uploading sensitive images.

6. Children’s Privacy

CompressImg is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and notify users on our website.
